Jun 17- U18B games that were scheduled at 9pm on June 28th and July 12th, have been moved to Kennedy House at 7:00pm. See the new U18B schedule at left for specific field details. The remaining U18B games schedule for 9pm may be changed as well. We first need to see the impact on the players schedules. Jun 16- Some of the U15B players have been reassigned to different teams in order to balance the division. May 24- For U15Bs, games times that were scheduled for 9:00pm in Uxbridge are now 7:00pm (even in August). All dates, teams and locatons remain the same. May 20- Player list are being formed this week. U15B, U18G and U18B teams are a mix of Scugog and Uxbridge players. Some teams still don't have coaches: 2 of the 3 Scugog U14G need coaches. The U18G Scugog team also needs a coach. May 16- Game Schedules are now posted in the left column. Each team has 14 regular season games that have been balanced based on team and/or player numbers. For specific field locations please refer to each club's own web site. May 9- The Scugog based NDSI coaches meeting is Thursday, May 13th @ 7pm, at the Scugog Soocer Fields Under the Knight's Shelter. Documents handed out at the meeting (attendance, player rating and the information sheet) are all available via download in the left hand column. Excel and word versions are availabe if you wish to keep your own copy for editting. Enter all your play names in and cross out the ones that don't show up or a game or pratcice. New for this year is that we ask you keep attendance for all players at all practice as well as games. May 8- The Year End Tournaments for the NDSI teams is split over two weekends between the two clubs. The older kidstournament is early to allow lots of time to prep for colledge/university. The U14G are included on this weekend to balance the number of teams each clubs hosts. This format eases the Referee requirements as well as the field availability, washrooms, parking, food, etc. The latest tentative plan is...
May 1- Based on the number registered so far the NDSI has decided on the following divisions and playing nights.
Feb 15- In order to conform to the OSA definitions of what a league is, the NDSL has undergone a slight name change to the North Durham Soccer Interlock or NDSI for short. This is a change in name only. Our mission statement remains the same: Have Fun, learn a little soccer. Feb 12- Proposed playing nights have now been posted. Dates are set to provide better coverage of for Refs in younger age divisions as most refs play NDSI. Pease also note that the age divisions may change based on the number of players registered (eg U13G vs U14G) Note that if a division has an odd number of teams and extra game on another night is sometimes scheduled. This may mean an 2 extra games per team for the season that are played on another night of the week. Feb 8- All NDSI players (U11 to U18) residing in Scugog should register with the Scugog Soccer Association. Players residing in Uxbridge should register through the Uxbridge Soccer Club. This is required to ensure spaces on club teams are allocated fairly. Players wanting to tryout for Uxbridge Rep teams can still do so even if registered in Scugog. Once team spots have been awarded, any necessary changes of registration can be made without financial penalty. This also applies to Uxbridge players wanting to try out for Scugog rep teams. - History and Background The NDSI was formed out of the need of both clubs to ensure the soccer remains active and enjoyable for all players in U12 to U18 age divisions. Due to smaller populations in our northern clubs and the fact larger southern clubs have sufficient numbers to run their own house leagues and don't want to have to travel north, we needed to band together (still under the DRSA and OSA) to form our own club interlock. The NDSI was named in the spring of 2008. It first began as the Scugog/Uxbridge inter club divisions in 2007 after both clubs moved out from under the DBSL and DGSL in the U12 to U18 divisions. In 2008 the U16B and U18B divisions where combined and added as the U18B division. Boys are now in division U12, U15 and U18 for a better balance of numbers. - Mission Statement Have Fun, learn a little soccer. See the Rules & Responsibilities document for more details.
